New York Times Interactive Map of Murders in NYC 2003-2009
Every day, the NYPD releases their statistics on major crimes, including homicides within the five boroughs of NYC. The New York Times has compiled the data in those reports and has created an interactive map of murders in the city. They promise to update it as new information becomes available to them.
NYPD Document Clearly States Photography is Legal
If you’re visiting New York City, you might want to keep a copy of Operations Order 14, which states that photography in New York City is perfectly legal and the police shouldn’t harass you. Yes, they should already know this, but it doesn’t hurt to carry a copy around anyway.
