Hate Comes to Orange County
It’s so hard to be objective on a story that is so filled with hate, bigotry, and racism that I’m not going to try. The Queens, N.Y.-based Muslim group Islamic Circle of North America Relief USA held a fundraiser in California, but several hundred Christians felt the need to come and spew forth their hatred towards a group that they know little about, other than the talking points they’ve been given.
the group started in Southern California about eight months ago and is trying to raise $350,000 to start social programs such as women’s shelters, fighting hunger and homelessness in the area.
About 300 were expected to attend the event. Admission was $25.
One of the attendees, Khwaja Ahmad, said he was surprised by the protests. “I am supporting the group because they are raising money for the beggar women.”
A woman attendee who declined to give her name said, “It is surprising, but everyone has a right to express their opinion.”
So the group was raising money to help women and homeless people, but the protesters decided that they must be gathering solely to bring sharia law. I found the last quote interesting. A woman attendee, who would have been justified by claiming the protesters were ignorant idiots, instead took the high ground. They do have a right to their opinion. Unfortunately, it is this opinion that seems to be shouted the loudest while any good work an Islamic group is attempting to do is shouted down.
The exact same thing that this woman is doing to Muslims is what white people did to blacks in the 1950s and 1960s in desegregated schools. They’ve only shifted their hatred to another group of people and stepped it up to the college level.
They can yell, “Go back home!” all they want. Many of the people who attended the fundraiser were born and raised in America.
It’s actually sad that most of the protesters can only yell talking points from FOX News and don’t really know or understand what they’re shouting about.
The only terrorist in this video is the woman shouting. It is absolutely disgusting that she even suggested that we should use military personnel to kill the attendees. She should be arrested for her hate speech. I’m all for free speech, but saying that these people should be dead as soon as possible is inciting hate.
If you’re as pissed off as I am, you can do something about it. Don’t let extreme hatred to have a voice.
