Rantings of a New Yorker

The online books page from the University of Pennsylvania has a listing of over 35,000 books that are free to read on the Internet.  It’s updated regularly, just in case you’ve already read the first 35,000 books and want something new to look at.

A 22-year old Dublin student faked a Wkipedia entry on French composer Maurice Jarre.  Major newspapers then attributed the fake quote to the composer in his obituary.  No one knew any different until the student notified the media outlets of the situation.
